Welcome to the new version of johnhonk.com! I was planning to go online with the new design together with my next album release, but I couldn’t really wait for the songs to be finished… Hope you like the new, light and bright look! The new music is on its way…
I’m not sure if you noticed, but my website has been down for a couple of weeks. I finally sorted everything out and it’s up and running again. However, I already have plans for a new version of the site that I plan to launch later this year. Probably it will launch with my new album and I think there might be less activity here until then. I am working hard on my new tracks and I have also done some other stuff. I might put something here in a while. Just wanted to let you know I’m still alive!

I shot some photos for metal band Povjet Union last night! They are just about to release their debute album and needed some pictures. They have not seen them yet, but I think they will be happy with them!

It was an amazing trip and it was great to bring the camera and get some nice shots! Now I am back in a slightly colder Sweden and I am starting to work on my next solo project for real. I am quite excited about it, but still not sure what direction it will go… I am writing new songs at least and that’s a good way to start! I will keep you updated from now on!
Tomorrow morning I’m leaving this cold land to see if there is any sun in Mexico! Me and my brother Petter are going over to Mexico City and will travel down south to Guatemala and possibly Belize. We’re scheduled to meet my good friend Diego on New Year’s Eve and some friends of Petter’s in Guatemala.
I’m bringing the camera and we are planning to take some stunning pictures (hopefully… something like this)! I will try to update the website a few times during the trip too, but don’t expect much to happen until I get home at the end of January…

Exclusive pre-listening to my new track, “Just A Break-Up Away”! This one will most likely be on my next album, even though I might change a few things till then. If you’ve followed the blog, this is the track where I arranged and conducted the string ensemble and played the grand piano in the big studio at college. Hope you like it!
I’m almost finished with my new track “Just A Break-Up Away”! I recorded lead and background vocals the other day and I only have a little mixing work to do tonight. This production is part of a college course and we have the assessment tomorrow. The plan is to also include it on my next album! I might post a little preview here tomorrow, so check back then!
I just got home from a photo session in Viken. Skåne was nice, but I have to say it’s a lot better in the summer! What was great though was that I had time to have dinner with my brother and my good friend Micke Palm on Monday! Usually we work late every night, but this time I got an evening off.
I realised I got lots to do in the coming days, school assignments have to come first. My final lesson of the year is on Wednesday next week and that’s when we are supposed to present our own productions. In my case that means the first song of my next album, with strings and everything! I have planned to record the vocals tomorrow morning, have to practise today! I also plan to have my other assignments finished by the end of next week, programming, the hit project and my photo project. So a pretty intense week lies ahead of me I guess…
